Feathered Gems has gone "on the road" to quite a few Greyhound events,
and we've met many other vendors of greyhound items. We have seen
each other at many events, commiserated over bad weather and long drives,
and some of us have become friends outside of the "vendor trail".
Some of us have agreed to help promote each other's businesses.
Others on this list make or sell
very neat items for greyhounds
or greyhound owners that we thought you'd like.
If you didn't find what you were looking for at Feathered Gems,
here are some links
to to some of our friends and our own favorite places to shop.

Laurel Drew has many years experience as a geneaologist, and she is the Archivist for the Greyhound Club of America. She uses her experience to produce fantastic 5- and 8-generation pedigrees for greyhounds. She can also do pedigrees for other dog breeds--contact her for info. |
Sue Ross is one of the sweetest people in the greyhound-stuff business, and her collars are superb! If your dog isn't wearing one, he should be! |
John & Kate Shue are two of the neatest people I've ever met through greyhounds. Get with the two of them and there will be a party! They own Hound Mountain, a clothing embroidery & t-shirt company, and all proceeds from their sales go to help support their adoption group, Almost Heaven Greyhound Adoption of West Virginia. You have to go check out "Big Dawg", their ex-band bus!! |
NCGS isn't a company. It's a special greyhound group in California that works to raise money to help other adoption groups! I promote them because they are a truly "non-denominational group that will help any 501(c)(3) registered greyhound group in need. NCGS has a delightful selection of original items for sale, including jewelry, windchimes, etched glass items, and wooden greyhound ornaments. And check out their Screaming Monkey toys! |
Carmen Deo makes gorgeous sterling silver Celtic greyhound and Irish Wolfhound jewelry. And she's a truly delightful person too! |
Kim & Scot are incredibly creative people, and they're a lot of fun to have as "booth neighbors". Their greyhound logo clothing designs are all original, and all wonderful. Contact them via their website for a brochure. |
Jen Howard does animal artwork. She can do pet portraits from your photos, and she can make the neatest painted wooden doorknob hangers with your hound's picture on them. |
Wonderful dog coats that are easy to put on. Our oldest hound lived in a Hound Togs "housecoat" practically all winter long, and loved it. |
This is another company that makes great dog coats. All of our hounds wear these coats to stay warm and dry during our Michigan winters. |
Kathy Hoynes creates the most elegant greyhound pen & ink drawings, and produces them on simple cream-colored t-shirts, sweatshirts, and parchment notecards. |
Jude Edling makes absolutely gorgeous hand-quilted dog coats. The designs are exquisite! |
