Irish sixpence coin
Minted prior to 1969 when Ireland redesigned their currency. This coin is 1mm smaller than an American nickel, and has a nice figure of a greyhound on the front side. The greyhound on the coin is Master McGrath, the most famous coursing greyhound in Irish greyhound history. The coin is in a sterling silver coin holder mounting, so it may be worn as jewelry. The back side of the coin has a lovely harp, the symbol of Ireland. These coins have been out of circulation since 1969, so they are not only a great greyhound item, but they are a collector's item as well. The coin would be good on a bracelet or a necklace. It isn't recommended for pierced earrings or on an eyeglass holder, as it is a bit weighty. But it works fine on clip-on earrings. Comes with a small card with the history of how Master McGrath ended up immortalized on a coin.$45.00 each, including a chain
Celtic Knot pendant
This one is guaranteed to get you noticed at your next greyhound event! It's a beautiful piece of traditional Celtic knot artwork. It is made up of two greyhounds impossibly entwined. Solid sterling silver, this is a large, heavy piece. It is 1 1/8 inch wide, and 1 5/8 inches tall, not including the attached hanging loop! This item is too heavy to be worn as anything but a pendant.Pendant $60.00
Add a chain for only $20.00 more"Greyhound Under the Christmas Tree" pendant
A Feathered Gems exclusive, this pendant was created by combining a modern Christmas tree pattern with our Greyhound U charm. It looks fabulous on any type of chain, or you might even put it on a silk ribbon to match an outfit. The tree has been brushed with a diamond bit to give it a satin finish, which contrasts with the shiny surface of the greyhound. It's 1 1/8 inches tall, 1 inch wide.
Sorry, temporarily sold out! "Saint Francis with a greyhound" medallion
Yes, on this medallion, St. Francis really is standing with his hand on the neck of a greyhound. Some people like to hang this charm on their dogs' collars. I don't personally recommend this, as sterling silver is a relatively soft metal, and the medal may wear through with the type of abuse that a dog would give it. However, I do aim to please. If you would like one for your dog's collar, please let me know. The hanger loop needs to be made larger and thicker to accommodate the rings used to attach items to dog collars.
It's 1 inch tall including the loop, 5/8 inches wide.
